IMpaca's purpose is:

• To promote public awareness and membership appreciation of the alpaca's unique qualities.
• To educate the membership on the care and breeding of alpacas.
• To promote the growth of the Alpaca industry as a whole.
• To foster the establishment of the breed outside of its native land by encouraging good husbandry and breeding practices based upon, but not limited to, herd health, overall soundness and wool production.
• To maintain a strong relationship with the national Alpaca industry as an Affiliate organization in good standing of the Alpaca Owners Association (AOA).

As an organization, our diverse membership enjoys collaboration and sharing their experiences among the members and the public.
